Read Claude Conversations Offline on Android

You're on a flight. Your laptop's in the overhead. You have 45 minutes and a 3000-word Claude conversation you wanted to read before the meeting that's waiting at the gate. Phone-only reading is the reality of modern AI consumption, and most of the tools you might reach for fall over the moment you lose connectivity.

Prism MD ships as a native Android app (also installable as a PWA) and is built for exactly this. Documents you've opened stay readable without a network. New documents you import by paste, file drop, or share-sheet handoff sync when you reconnect.

Install on Android

1. Open https://www.prismmd.app in Chrome on your phone.
2. Tap the menu → Install app. (Or, for the full APK, find Prism MD on the Play Store — listing rolling out now.)
3. The app opens to a Welcome step on the very first launch. Sign up, then you're in.

What works offline

• Reading previously-opened documents. Once you've opened a document, the rendered version is cached locally and stays available with no connection.
• Importing markdown from the share sheet. In any app — Files, ChatGPT, Drive — tap Share → Prism MD and the document opens immediately.
• Pasting from clipboard. Cmd-V on home screen works offline; rendering happens locally.
• Search across cached documents. Local index, no round-trip.

What needs a connection

• Importing from a URL that hasn't been cached.
• Sharing a document (the share URL has to be created server-side).
• Sync to a new device.

The mobile case for a markdown reader

Phones are where you read on the train, in waiting rooms, between meetings. They are not where you write. A reader-first app — no editor clutter, no chat panel, no sidebar — fits the phone form factor better than any of the desktop-first tools that have tried to come down.
