What's inside
Built for the way AI writes.
AI-aware import
Auto-detects exports from ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, and more. Drag a file in or paste, and Prism MD figures out the rest.
Beautiful rendering
Syntax highlighting for 190+ languages via highlight.js, LaTeX math with KaTeX, and live Mermaid diagrams. Typography tuned for long reading sessions.
Multi-model comparison
Run the same document through GPT, Claude, and Gemini side by side. Diff the output, pick the best line, save the merge.
Structured extraction
Pull action items, decisions, code snippets, links, and key points out of any document, deterministic or AI-assisted.
Offline-ready PWA
Installs to your home screen on Android, iOS, and desktop. Reads your library without a connection. Syncs when you reconnect.
Sync across every device
Your library lives in the cloud and follows you everywhere. Start a document on the web, pick it up in the desktop app, finish it on your phone. Same account, always up to date.
Why we built this
Most markdown apps were built for software documentation. We built Prism MD after looking at thousands of AI-generated documents and asking: what would make these delightful to read?
AI tools produce long, structured text: outlines, diagrams, code, math, citations. Most readers turn that into a wall of grey. We wanted typography that breathes, code that feels safe to copy, math that renders the way a journal article would.
And we wanted it everywhere. The document you read on your laptop should be one tap away on your phone, with nothing to copy or re-paste. Your library syncs across web, desktop, and mobile automatically.

FAQ
Common questions.
Is my data secure?
Yes. All traffic is encrypted over HTTPS and your documents are encrypted at rest. Passwords are bcrypt-hashed at 12 rounds, and we passed an internal OWASP-MASVS audit at 38.5 / 40.
Does it work offline?
Yes. Prism MD is a Progressive Web App. Once installed, documents you have opened stay readable without a connection. New documents sync when you reconnect.
Does it work on Android / iOS?
Android: in closed testing on the Play Store. iOS: in active development, planned for Q3.
Can I use my own AI API keys?
Yes. Drop in keys for OpenAI, Anthropic, DeepSeek, or xAI in Settings. Keys are stored in your browser only, and we never see them.
Is it open source?
The reader engine and rendering pipeline are open source. The hosted service (cloud sync, billing) is closed source.
How is this different from Notion or Obsidian?
Notion is a database with markdown attached. Obsidian is a graph-based note system. Prism MD is a focused reader for AI-generated content, designed for arriving documents rather than curating them long-term.
